French Press Coffee

  • 1 French Press 34 oz. Bodum
  • 1 Hario Skerton Grinder Set at 7 turns
  • 1 Variable Temperature Kettle
  • 1 Kitchen Scale

Ingredients
  

  • 21 Grams Coffee Whole Bean
  • 336 Grams Water

Instructions
 

  • Set coffee grinder on scale and hit tare.
  • Add 21 grams of coffee beans into the grinder.
  • Select 200ยบ F on the kettle (or closest temperature) and start heating the water.
  • Grind the coffee until all beans are ground.
  • Add the ground beans into the French press, and place on the scale. Press tare to zero the weight.
  • Once the water is at the desired temperature, pour 336 grams of water into the French press. Set a timer for four to five minutes, depending on flavor preference.
  • After approximately 30 to 60 seconds lightly stir the coffee to break up the coffee layer that forms at the top of the water.
  • Once your desired timer is up, press the plunger all the way down, and then pour coffee into your cup our preferred vessel.
